To support NOLA-PS data dashboard users with their own analysis and research, all school-level data included in the NOLA-PS data dashboard is available in the downloadable files below. Each file contains all available historical data for prior school years; data is organized by school year within each file. The first tab of each file contains specific information on the sources, calculations, and exclusions for each data point.

  • School Overview Data: This file includes data on each school’s configuration, enrollment requirements, grades served, operator, charter renewal year, and other basic information, as displayed on each school’s “Overview” page.
  • Enrollment Data: This file includes data on each school’s enrollment, targets, and fill rate, as displayed on each school’s “Quantity” page.
  • Facilities Data: This file contains information on NOLA-PS facilities, by school, as displayed on each school’s “Quantity” page.
  • Key Academic Metrics: This file contains data on accountability metrics by school, including the School Performance Score and its subcomponents (Progress and Assessment Index), Top Growth, and the NOLA-PS School Performance Renewal Index, as displayed on “Key Academic Metrics” section of the “Quality” tab.
  • LEAP Performance: This file contains data on LEAP performance by school as displayed on the “LEAP Assessment Performance” section of the “Quality” tab.
  • ELPT Performance: This file contains data on student growth and absolute performance over time for students who take the English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT), as displayed in the “Other Assessment Data” section of the “Quality” tab.
  • LEAP Connect Performance: This file contains data on absolute performance over time for students who take the LEAP Connect alternative assessment, as displayed in the “Other Assessment” section of the “Quality” tab.
  • High School Performance: Contains school level data on ACT performance, graduation rate, and TOPS eligibility as displayed in the “High School Performance” section of the “Quality” tab.
  • Stability Rate: This file contains school-level student re-enrollment, or “stability” rate, as displayed in the “Choice” section of the dashboard.
  • Match Rate: This file contains school-level match data as presented on the “Choice” tab.
  • Demand: Contains data on demand scores and demand rank for all NOLA-PS schools, as displayed on the “Choice” tab.
  • Student Demographics: This file contains school-level data for student race/ethnicity, economically disadvantaged students, students with disabilities, English Language Learners, and students experiencing homelessness over time, as displayed in the “Students” tab of the dashboard.
  • Teacher Demographics: This file contains school-level data for teacher race/ethnicity and gender demographics as displayed in the “Teachers” tab of the dashboard.
  • Teacher Retention: Contains data teacher retention over time, including by racial subgroup (teachers of color, Black, and white teacher retention) as displayed in the “Teachers” tab.
  • Academic Outcomes by Subgroup: Contains data on the LEAP ELA Mastery+, LEAP Math Mastery+, ELPT, and Top Growth rates for Students with Disabilities, English Language Learners, and Economically Disadvantaged students, as displayed in the “Equity” tab.

Other NOLA-PS Data:

  • NOLA-PS Explore Tool: A search tool to support parents in locating schools and early childhood care centers that are the best match for their children. Contains school-specific data on student supports, offerings and special programming, extracurriculars, and other characteristics, along with links to each school’s Annual School Quality Profile.
  • Five-Year Portfolio Plan: A page dedicated to NOLA-PS’ five-year portfolio strategy, and a link to the annual report that tracks the district’s progress on each of the plan’s key metrics.
  • College/Career Success Hub: A tool to assist families in selecting high school programs that are well-aligned to the postsecondary schools of their students.
  • Portrait of a Graduate: A guidebook that outlines the district’s comprehensive vision of a well-rounded education that prepares scholars for success in college, career, and life.

Other Data Resources:

  • NSNO Enrollment Landscape Analysis (ELA): An analysis of the effects of enrollment changes on the citywide portfolio of schools. The ELA, published annually by New Schools for New Orleans, is meant to support school leaders and education partners in data-driven decision making.
  • Cowen Institute Governance Charts: This chart, published annually by Tulane University’s Cowen Institute, shows the governance structure of all public schools and charter organizations in New Orleans. It also details changes that have occurred in the system heading into the school year.
