View data for individual schools, including the academic and enrollment trajectory of NOLA-PS students with attention to demographic patterns.

Relevant dashboard pages: Quality

Data highlighting student growth is at the top of the Quality page, and provides insight on how well the selected school is helping students progress academically.

Many graphs contain two District-wide comparisons, in addition to the “school-specific” data:

  • The “NOLA-PS” comparison
This comparison reflects data for all NOLA-PS schools, including schools with academic eligibility criteria and (in the case of 9-12 profiles) alternative schools.
  • The “Open Enrollment” comparison
This comparison reflects data for NOLA-PS “open enrollment” schools only (i.e., schools without selective admissions criteria). In the case of 9-12 profiles, this also excludes alternative schools.

For K-8 profiles, these district comparisons reflect data for NOLA-PS schools serving students in grades K-8. For 9-12 profiles, these comparisons reflect data for NOLA-PS schools serving students in grades 9-12.

Review the graphs to see this school's current trajectory. In the example below, this school is performing slightly above the district average on “Top Growth”, but the trend is a percentage point lower from one year to the next.

See NOLAPS data on many charts in the dashboard

Underneath the “Academic Growth Metrics” section, you’ll find data on absolute academic performance, including important accountability metrics such as School Performance Scores and the School Performance Renewal Index, LEAP assessment data, and graduation and ACT data.

To isolate the school's trend line, hover over the school in the key below the graph. The other comparison lines will fade out.

On applicable charts, you can also use the “Subgroup” filter to see your school’s trajectory for a certain demographic. The dashboard provides data on all race/ethnicity subgroups, students with disabilities, English Language Learners, students experiencing homelessness, and economically disadvantaged students.

To compare a school’s enrollment trajectory with NOLA-PS as a whole, go to the “Quantity” tab.

Relevant dashboard pages: Quantity

The graphs on the “Quantity” tab are meant to provide insight into how a school is sustaining or improving enrollment over time. You will see these graphs displayed:

  • Enrollment Over Time
For K-8 profiles, this displays K-8 enrollment and (if applicable) Pre-K enrollment over time. For 9-12 profiles, this displays 9-12 enrollment over time.
  • Targets Over Time
For K-8 profiles, this displays Main Round targets for grades K-8 as submitted to NOLA-PS. For 9-12 profiles, this displays Main Round targets for grades 9-12 as submitted to NOLA-PS.
  • Fill Rate Over Time
For K-8 profiles, this displays a school’s Fill Rate (enrollment divided by targets) for grades K-8. For 9-12 profiles, this displays the Fill Rate for grades 9-12.

For more information on these data points, please see the data dashboard Glossary.
